Analysis of the Causes of Sublimation Roller Heat Transfer Printing Quality Problems

Hi~ nice to see you again, my dear friends! Today's topic is about reason which affect the quality of sublimation roller heat transfer printing. Read the following and I will share you two reasons about it.

Reasons for poor paper removal or film removal

1. The appearance of the substrate to be transferred has quality problems, such as high temperature resistance, sticky paper or mucous membrane phenomenon.
2. If the thermal transfer glue is used, the quality of the thermal transfer glue, the ratio of the concentration and the amount of the coating will directly affect the paper release. After the dusting, the powder coating layer on the outer surface of the substrate to be transferred is not completely cured, so that it is cured again upon thermal transfer.
3. If the thermal transfer glue is used, the quality, ratio and brushing amount of the thermal transfer glue will directly affect the paper release. If a thermal transfer glue is used, it is suggested that the release agent (also known as silicone oil) can be properly taken in the thermal transfer glue to handle the problem of poor paper release.
4. The heat transfer paper is fragile or zoomed. Usually, the temperature of the transfer baking is too high or the time is too long to form a thermal transfer paper or the thermal transfer film is too aging.

The same thermal transfer paper or thermal transfer film produces the color difference of the transfer product
1. In the case of colorimetry, the colorimetric conditions of "selecting the same texture, the same position, and the same transfer conditions, transferring on the same base material, and comparing under the same light source" are not adhered to.
The transfer substrate has a color difference. The transfer equipment performance is unstable.

2. When the heat transfer machine is processed, the temperature and time during transfer are not controlled. Generally, when the transfer temperature is between 120 °C and 220 °C, the transfer temperature and time are inversely proportional to the depth of the transfer texture. Otherwise, When the transfer temperature is lower than °C, the transfer cannot be performed; when the transfer temperature is higher than °C, the color of the texture transferred to the substrate is gradually lightened over time. After the thermal transfer, the phenomenon that the product exhibits spots or misty blocks is originally spotted or foggy by the surface of the transfer substrate. The surface of the substrate to be transferred is not resistant to high temperatures, and has a sticky paper or mucous membrane.

3. The powder coating layer on the surface of the transferred substrate is not completely cured.
If the thermal transfer glue is used, the quality, ratio, and amount of the thermal transfer glue will form this phenomenon. The normal thermal transfer glue will automatically evaporate after the high temperature, leaving no trace. If a thermal transfer glue is used to form this phenomenon, it should be compensated according to the actual situation. It is recommended to scrub the transferred substrate with water or send it to the oven for short-term baking.

4. If a thermal transfer film is used to form this phenomenon, it is suggested that the effect of powder coating on the transfer quality can be compensated by a low concentration of organic solvent such as acetone.

5. Transfer product substrate. The quality of the appearance will directly affect the transfer effect and weather resistance of the final transfer product. When spraying, it is necessary to use a powder with good weather resistance, usually polyester, followed by polyurethane, and the thickness of the spray is the above.
The appearance effect of the transferred coating is very important, such as lubricity, gloss, color, etc., which will directly affect the appearance of the substrate after transfer.

If the surface of the transferred substrate is a glossy surface, the transferred product is also high-gloss. The color of the product is uneven or has a deep and shallow edge. The contact between the transfer paper or the transfer film is not close or not sufficient. For example, when baking, the transfer paper is lifted, or when the vacuum is applied, the tubular bag has Leakage and other phenomena.
